Structural Repairs to the Crawl Space

There is an industry that does structural repair to crawl spaces which owes its very existence to moisture.

The understructure of your house consists of joists, beams, sill plates, and the sub-floor.  All these wood structures are exposed to the environment of the crawl space.  If you have moisture trapped in the crawlspace, that moisture in the air will condense on the wood, raising the moisture content.  Damp wood is prone to mold and rot.  If wood is left to mildew and rot long enough, damage to the structure can result. and the homeowner can have no idea just how much damage can be going on right under his feet.

If damage has gotten that bad, we at Oakbridge Construction can do any necessary structural repair to your foundation.  We can replace the entire floor framing system under your house if necessary.  If damage is not that bad, we will stop the process of rot by removing moisture from your crawlspace.

Drains and sump pumps may be necessary if there is a heavy water problem.  A dehumidifier may be needed.  We can fully seal the crawlspace with our Encapsulation System which will provide a mold-free, radon-free, and insect-free environment.  Eliminating moisture, mold and bugs creates a healthier home environmant.
